Possibility

Today, Daniel went to the chiropractor because, as many of you know, his back has been killing him for the last couple weeks. Well, the Dr asked him what's new in his life because he hasn't seen Daniel for quite some time. Daniel told him we are in the adoption process. The Dr said that there is a woman in his home bible study group who has a twin sister who is due in 2 months. I guess they have been praying for her, and we don't know the exact circumstances, but the Dr asked Daniel if he could pass on our information to the woman.

So ... here is yet another possible opportunity. Daniel said he had tears in his eyes when he heard. I got a little emotional, myself, when he first started telling me about it, but I don't know if it means anything or not. We were just saying how cool it would be that the Lord could use a really bad back-ache to get Daniel into the right chiropractor at just the right time. Even if this woman ends up calling our agency and using another family, still, to be a part of God's plan in His perfect timing is so awesome!

Congratulations to Our Friends!

Our friends, Rob and Marie are probably, as I type, holding thier new son, AJ. They have been waiting for this day for years and years. We got a call from Rob and Marie on Tuesday telling us they were chosen. Daniel and I feel that this is most likely the little baby that we were being considered for. If so, it would make perfect sense to me how I had absolutely no feelings tied up in that phone call, it would make sense to me how all weekend we didn't even really think about it, we just enjoyed ringing in the New year together. It makes me think how amazing God is and how He enables us to have 100% complete joy for Rob and Marie with absolutely no twinges of jealousy. I can't even explain how much when I got their call, I knew this was their baby that God had placed in their family. It made me think back to when I first realized that Daniel was *the one* for me and how I had that feeling in my heart and I "just knew." I wonder if it will be the same with a baby, I wonder if when it is our turn (if it's God's will) that we will just know, and somehow He will nudge us so that we have hope, and we feel like planning and preparing our hearts to welcome a baby into our family at just the right time. I am happy that we aren't sad that we didn't get chosen. I LOVE the feeling of total trust in His timing and His divine plan, and I am so thankful that I can rejoice with our friends and that watching them is just even more confirmation that God certainly knows what He is doing! Praise Him, everyone, for all He is and His amazing love for us!
