First Obstetrician appointment

wow ... 2 hours long! I had so many forms to fill out. Just like the adoption! They took alot of blood also. They did a pelvic exam which was so uncomfortable, but I guess I better get used to it, huh? I get to go in for my first ultrasound on March 28th. Also, the baby's official due-date is October 28th. I can't believe how I still can't believe it. You would think by now it has sunk in and I would be used to the idea, but still, not really in touch with the fact that we are expecting! Wow. Still blown away!

And Baby Makes 3!!!

Well, today it became "official!"

I am pregnant!
We can't even believe it! Saturday we took a pregnancy test - the first time ever, and I told Daniel, "Don't get your hopes up, I probably just finally hit menopause." And then when it came up positive, we didn't believe it! Daniel actually went to the store and got more tests! Even a different brand, because we just didn't believe it!
I walked into my doctor's today and he said, "so, I just saw you last week, what could it possibly be that you are in so soon to see me?" I said, "don't you read your charts?" And he said, "no" and I said, "I am pregnant." And he said, "you are too old to be pregnant!"
yeah ... so ... anyway ...
He let me get a blood test instead of just a pee test and he said to make it stat. So, I was supposed to call tomorrow at 10:30 am, but he called me at home around 7:20pm tonight and confirmed that I am 5 weeks pregnant!
Every time I sneeze, I hold my stomach and say, "hang on little baby!" It feels so weird not knowing how this miracle will turn out. I am a high-risk pregnancy, so I called my sister's Dr who is an amazing specialist and he was unable to refer me to anyone at St Jude, so I called St Jude and talked to the head labor and delivery nurse and she gave me a team of doctors that she said is the best. I talked to my doctor tonight and he agreed on one of them, and said another one is no longer at St Jude. So, it looks like I have a specialist on my side already.
If anyone feels inclined to pray, my request is (besides whatever God's will is) that the baby will stay with me, and not be a tubal pregnancy, and that I will carry it full term and I can be the best and most healthy I can be to provide the best and safest start for our baby.
God knows the end result, and I fully trust Him with all my heart, and so does Daniel.
picture this: Daniel comes home today and says "open your mouth wide" and he grabs my face and then shouts down into my throat, "Hello little baby!"
And so it begins ... the wildest ride of our lives.
For those of you wondering, we are still going to pursue the adoption. We feel called to this and believe it's God's will. We don't know His timing or anything, we are just taking it all as it comes. We are waiting to tell the agency in case there are any problems with the pregnancy. We would hate to add more waiting time in case they put us on hold. So, God knows and little by little, we all will as well.
Goodnight, and welcome to our lives, our little baby!
